Torch Relay and Protest at the State Capitol

The Global Human Rights Torch Relay arrived in Minnesota on April 16, in hopes of drawing attention to human rights concerns in Tibet, as well as the Chinese government’s persecution of the Falun Gong, Buddhists, rights advocates, and others.

The relay kicked off at the State Capitol and arrived at the University of Minnesota Coffman Union, advocating: “The Olympics and crimes against humanity cannot coexist in China”.
