Second Runway — a green fashion show presented by Goodwill/Easter Seals on Saturday, May 3rd — was co-hosted by former Project Runway contestent Katherine Gerdes and Alexis Walsko of Lola Red Public Relations. Designers had a $25 budget to purchase items from Goodwill to create original fashions in one of five categories: business, business casual, casual formal, formal, and night-on-the-town.
Designers on the program were: Joan Hector, Ruth Harrington, Karen Moberg, Hilary Falk, Thom Navarro, Andrea Vargo, Emily Welsh, Christina Schuster, Jessica K. Schultz, Lisa Venne, Katie Dailey, Jenny Carle.
Great idea for a runway show. I love it. We should do more of this kind of "affordable" ideas stuff. I love runway shows, but it's sad when you can't afford a damn thing on the runway.
