August 2007 10,000 Arts Quarterly

Another Green World is our title for this issue. The dreamy
Minnesota summer makes us all green, even if it's just grass stains as
we scuff barefoot through the lawn to pick up the paper. Of course, on a global level, too, we can no longer take for granted
those broader qualities associated with “green.” For eons, human beings
have intervened in the natural world to make it serve their needs;
suddenly, we’re charged with figuring out how to co-exist with the
natural world and minister to its needs, which have become critical. —Ann Klefstad
